A Life with the Harp

Music is the guiding thread of my journey, weaving together tradition and innovation.

From my beginnings with the Celtic harp in Brittany to my deep dive into ancient harp in Italy, I have crafted an original path that bridges past and present. I perform worldwide, bringing my compositions as the result of a profound journey of inner discovery and exploration of sound’s transformative power—to inspire, uplift, and deeply touch each listener.

Certified in the USA harp therapy and vibroacoustics, I lead training programs in Italy and France, developing therapeutic approaches through sound. As an author and researcher, I explore the connection between music, science, and spirituality, sharing the transformative power of sound for awareness and well-being.

Each note is an invitation to inner discovery.

My Roots in Music

My love for the harp was born at the age of five while watching a performance on television. That moment sparked a passion within me that never faded, even though I had to wait a little longer to bring it to life.

At ten, I began playing the Celtic harp in Brittany. I still remember the excitement when my first harp arrived at home—I couldn't take my hands off the instrument.

After earning my diploma in Celtic harp at the Conservatory of Lannion, I continued my studies at the Conservatory of Tours, where I obtained a diploma in ancient harp.

My academic journey further expanded with a Master Degree in Musicology from the University of Tours and the University of Venice in 2002.

I explored the historical and cultural roots of music, blending academic research with artistic practice, laying the foundation for my unique approach to music and a harmonic perception of life.

Harmonies from the World

My concert journey has taken me to breathtaking stages around the world, in a constant dialogue between musical tradition and innovation. I have had the privilege of performing in historic theaters, prestigious festivals, and iconic venues, sharing the universal language of the harp with diverse cultures and audiences.

From the United States to India, China to Brazil, Mexico to Dubai, Egypt to Hong Kong, I have brought my music to international festivals such as the World Harp Congress, the Wonder Festival in the U.S., and the Royal Opera House in Mumbai.

In Europe, my notes have resonated in countless concerts, including the Whight Harp Festival, the Brussels Harp Festival, and performances in Sweden, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and France, in historic venues such as the Chapelle Royale of Versailles and the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey.

In Italy, my musical journey continues through renowned festivals such as the Ravenna Festival, the Festival delle Nazioni, and the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, with concerts in emblematic theaters like the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, the Teatro Alighieri of Ravenna, the Palazzo Schifanoia of Ferrara, the Castello Sforzesco of Milan, and the Palazzo Ducale of Venice.

The Harp, Instrument of Healing

At 21, I had a revelation that transformed my life and musical journey: sound is not only art, but also a tool for transformation and evolution. This insight led me to specialize in the United States with the International Harp Therapy Program (IHTP), earning certifications in therapeutic harp (CHTP), Music Imagery, and Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT).

Alongside this, I have spent over 20 years studying personal development techniques such as meditation, yoga, mindful movement, and self-awareness practices, which have allowed me to connect more intimately with myself and the world.

I have had the opportunity to bring the transformative power of sound into hospital settings, private practices, and holistic retreats, discovering how the vibration of the harp can alleviate pain, reduce anxiety, and promote emotional well-being. Today, I offer individual sessions of Harp Therapy and Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy in my studio in Bologna, continuing to explore and share the vast therapeutic potential of music.

Over the years, I have had the honor of collaborating with numerous hospitals and care facilities, including Bellaria Hospital (Oncology) in Bologna, meditation and harp therapy with Prof. Pagliaro, MAS Saint Jean de Malte in Paris, Fatebenefratelli Hospital (Oncology) in Rome, Casa dei Risvegli Luca de Nigris in Bologna, Mozart 14 Association in Bologna, Le Cinque Vie di Giorgio in Padua, S. Orsola Hospital (Pediatrics) in Bologna, Il Loto Association in Bologna, and Seragnoli Hospice Foundation in Bentivoglio.

In the holistic field, I have brought my harp to many sessions for sound baths, sound journeys, meditations, and retreats.

Music: A Bridge Between Worlds

As a composer, my music emerges from the meeting of tradition and innovation, blending Breton Celtic roots, ancient music, minimalism, and contemporary sounds. Each melody is the result of a journey of sound and inner exploration, where the harp becomes an instrument of harmonization, capable of creating deep resonances in the soul of the listener.

My compositions are a bridge between worlds, created to generate beauty, well-being, and evoke states of profound harmony. In my albums Ankaa, Believe, Vita Nuova, Arcani, Menhir, and Women of Light, I tell stories that vibrate between spirituality and well-being, exploring the power of sound as a vehicle for connection and inner awakening.

Alongside my musical creation, I pay special attention to the transcription and publication of my sheet music, so that my music can be played and reinterpreted by other musicians. Each score is an invitation to immerse oneself in an expressive journey that combines technique and interpretive freedom, offering insights to explore new sound possibilities.

My research goes beyond musical composition and extends to the study of sound and vibration, integrating elements of meditation, inner exploration, and mindful listening, so that every note resonates as a bridge between the visible and the invisible.

Trainings and Teaching

I have always loved sharing what I have learned, and my work as a teacher focuses on individual harp and harp therapy lessons, both online and in person. I offer courses in Celtic harp, improvisation, composition, and specific harp therapy programs, guiding participants to discover the transformative power of sound.

As the director of the International Harp Therapy Program (IHTP) training in Italy and France, I support musicians and enthusiasts in developing their skills and understanding of music as a tool for well-being.

My teaching extends to prestigious international institutions, including IHTP in Hong Kong, the USA, and the Netherlands, the University of Colorado in Boulder, the University La Sapienza in Rome (Faculty of Medicine), and various Italian conservatories such as Ferrara, Pesaro, Vibo Valentia, and Cosenza.

Since 2010, I have taught harp courses as part of the Advanced Music Training Program at Castelluccio and collaborated with institutions like the International Museum and Music Library of Bologna and the Sammarinese Music Institute.

Research and writing

My passion for sound goes beyond music: it is a continuous exploration of the connections between vibration, resonance, and well-being. This journey has led me to write articles, books, and participate in international conferences where I share my discoveries, creating connections between art, science, and spirituality.

In 2022, I published my book Una melodia per l'aere luminoso with OM Edizioni. In this work, I explore the intersection of music and spiritual vision. The book is part of my broader research that connects music with therapeutic practices, offering a reflection that goes beyond mere musical listening, embracing a therapeutic and spiritual dimension.

I have also had the privilege of participating in internationally relevant events and conferences, such as TEDx Bologna, the Globe Sound Healing Conference (USA), and ISQRMM (Interdisciplinary Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine), where I explored research on frequencies. Additionally, I participated in the National AITeRS Congress with the theme "Techné Meets the Myth of Healing," as well as several other conferences, including the Virtual Harp Summit, the Asculum Festival, Cortina Mindfulness, and the European Quantum Activism Association.
